The goal of CLC’s Hospitality Ministry is to bring honor and glory to God by providing a warm spirit of Christian friendliness to members and visitors so that each person will feel genuine Christian affection, and first-time visitors will want to return.
The HM exists because we recognize that every person who comes to our church has a common need to feel welcome and accepted. To a visitor, genuine friendliness and an attentive staff are important qualities of a church and visitors seem to know immediately if they are in a place of welcome and acceptance. We understand it might be difficult to join a church where everyone is comfortable with their own routines and their own acquaintances. We seek to overcome this for our visitors by creating a warm, inviting place for everyone who enters our fellowship.
We strive to show the love of Christ to our guests and members alike. Our Fellowship center is a hub of activity following Sunday morning service. It’s a place for people to gather to break bread and to receive information and directions for the various classes, activities, and ministries provided by CLC. Staff members from Guest Relations are available to answer questions and hand out visitor packets. It’s also the place to request CD/DVD copies of the sermons.
When entering the worship center you will be greeted by someone at the door, to welcome you with a smile and offer you assistance. Our church Guest Relations and Information Center is there to help guest and members obtain information about Christian Life Church, it’s ministries, schedule of events, classes, and programs, and
where to obtain copies of messages and sermons.
Guest Relations is also where you can find information on restroom locations, children church and nursery and service times. Members and visitors will also find that visiting the guest relations desk in the lobby is a great place to meet people and make new friends. You may also find directions to our complementary coffee bar and tea if you would like something before you enter the sanctuary and finding a place to sit for the service. If at anytime you have a question or need something, visit the Guest Relations and information counter in the lobby and we will do our best to help you.
Greeters and Ushers Ministry
1st Corinthians 12:28 refers to Greeters as the ministry of helps. Greeters help the Pastor fulfill the vision by making those who come through the doors of the church feel at home. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, sincerity, importance, peace and comfort when they enter the doors of the church. It is so important that we help everyone feel welcomed. The Word of God calls us an ambassador of the Most High God to His people. This means that we are His spokespersons on Earth. It is essential to understand as a Greeter, we are the first persons that visitors and members see when they enter the church door, we have to always show the love of Christ. It is our responsibility to let visitors and members know that we humbly appreciate them fellowshipping with us. We are committed to ensuring guest that guest are served, that their needs and concerns are met, and that they feel the joy of the Lord upon entering our Worship Service.
The Usher Ministry serves as the church doorkeepers to ensure that worshipers feel welcome and assist the Pastor by maintaining reverence and order so members and visitors may receive the message. Ushers combine a warm welcome with a pleasant smile as they direct and seat worshipers. The Usher Ministry, comprised of three groups, includes both women and men: Seniors, Young Adults and Juniors. The ministry offers fellowship with other sisters and brothers in Christ and an opportunity to serve God in His House.
