Our Pastor: Rev. Dr. James E. Sutton

James is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. He is a Distinguished Military Graduate and Honor Graduate of Hampton University. He holds a Master Degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and an earned Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Christian Education from Faith Christian University. He is a graduate of the United States Military Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, Kansas. James holds a Doctor of Divinity (D. Div.) Degree from Mutual Baptist Association of Washington, DC. He also completed requirements for Certification in Assistive Technology, California State University.

Rev. Sutton is a License and Ordained Minister and serves as Senior Pastor of Christian Life Church, Manassas, Virginia. He is active in the local community; serves on the Board of Directors of several organizations; a former member of the Fairfax County, Virginia Health Board; a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternal organization; the American Association of Christian Counselors; and numerous other professional and social organizations. Dr. Sutton is a retired Army Medical Service Corps Officer and a veteran of Operations Desert Storm where he served as the 18th Airborne Corps Senior Medical Operations Officer and Battalion Commander, 47th Combat Support Hospital.

Rev. Sutton is the proud father of five wonderful children and one grandchild. His passion is teaching the word of God and helping men and women to live victorious lives.
